Fall- Advanced Journaling, Art, and Science 8+
🌿 About the Program
This fall, take your nature study to the next level with our Advanced Nature Journaling class. Blending science, art, and observation, students will explore the spookier side of autumn ecology while building advanced journaling and watercolor techniques.
Each week introduces a new fall theme — from the hidden world of mushrooms to the web architecture of spiders, eerie plant pigments, the mysteries of decomposition, and the legends of haunted forests. Students will dive into the science behind these natural wonders, then bring them to life on paper through watercolor sketching, detailed journaling, and creative expression. Students will also learn how to use a digital microscope, collect and record data, and different watercolor techniques.
When:
Tuesdays at 1:00 PM
dates: 9/23, 9/30, 10/14, 10/28, 11/4
Where: Outdoors in our local wild spaces (location provided upon registration) Typically this is at Gorman Nature Center but due to their school field trip schedule we will have a few alternative locations including Flemming falls nature preserve and our family farm in Mansfield.
